PDC World Championships

CHRISTMAS BEGINS TONIGHT

I’ll be there next Friday. Hopefully the caravan dwelling, teenager fiddling, 16 times champion of the world will go out early so we don’t have to deal with all the bullshit that comes with him for this one.

MvG should naturally win this, but I’m having an outside each way punt on MENSUR, who hopefully will accept the Premier League place next year.

Would like to see SUPERCHIN do ok as well. SWEEEET CAROLINE!

I think Taylor comes across a bit arrogant but that is not why he is hated he is hated because he has been at the top for so long It would be very unlike the British to get behind someone who dominates a sport for over 2 decades he won eight world titles in a row and got into 14 consecutive world finals so it is not hate that many feel, basically most dart fans have had their fill and probably 5-8 years ago.

I watched that link sydney put up and he was pretty humble but still kept on referring to money and what earners he had lined up. there's no need for it, everyone knows he's deservedly earned a fortune out of the game and you don't see the best ever in other sports/games boasting about shit like that. like cross said on the radio this morning, the money in the game now is due to people like taylor who come across from the bdo. taylor made a good point about looking forward to next christmas as he'd not had one off for about thirty years. also showed the dedication of cross when in his radio interview when he said he practices four hours a day. that whitlock premier league decision is still puzzling but at least wade missed out

No doubting what the munchkin's achieved over the years, but he shld ave cleared offstage and let Cross enjoy his World Title victory, instead of trying to hog all the limelight.
Sky shld ave had a plan B as well.

I don't mind Taylor but agree he doesn't do himself any favours with what he says at times. I think sometimes he tries to say or do the right thing to look likeable and it comes across as cringe worthy and uncomfortable but I don't think the Taylor fest was entirely his doing last night. Clearly Sky are going to do a tribute to a player who was winning tournaments before Alex Ferguson won an FA Cup and you would have to ask him but I don't think Cross minded at all and even asked Taylor to come over to have pictures taken with the trophy. So Taylor was on a hiding to nothing really. If he walks off stage sharpish allowing Cross the attention people would have said he was a miserable loser shooting off whereas do what he did it looks like he is milking it, although as I say he doesn't do himself any favours at times.

From a darts perspective though I thought that might happen because Taylor just doesn't score heavily consistently enough anymore and had his luck with others missing doubles in previous matches. Cross though was unbelievable, not only scoring heavily, but hitting doubles and big check outs. To do that in any final let alone his first world final in Taylors last match shows incredible mental strength, absolutely unbelievable, and he never had a major lull in the match like so many do, he just kept battering Taylor.

He could be top of the tree for years this fella or will disappear within the year!!!!!
